Joe Santerre has performed, taught, and lectured as a bassist in many styles of music. He has performed with Tom Coster (Vital Information, Santana), John Petrucci (Dream Theater), Vinnie Moore, Steve Morse, Dino Govoni, Jon Finn, and Mike Mangini (Steve Vai).

Some of his former students are Brian Bellar (Dweezil Zappa), Chris Chaney (Alanis Morrissette, Robben Ford), Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith) and John DeServio (Vinnie Moore, Lita Ford).

He is currently the bassist in The Jon Finn Group ('Wicked', 'Don't Look So Serious'). He also writes for Bass Frontiers Magazine.

He has written Rock Bass Lines & Slap Bass Lines distributed by Hal Leonard.

His CD 'The Scenic Route' features his compositions and arrangements. He is currently working on another CD.
